NYC DOB permit and violation tracking for general contractors

Every permit, complaint and violation on every job, pulled live from NYC DOB by BIN and sitting next to the rest of your back office.

Stop checking DOB building by building

Most NYC GCs still look up each address on the DOB site, copy what they find into a spreadsheet, and hope nothing changed overnight. BuildRoutine pulls permits, complaints and violations for each project by BIN, so your whole portfolio is on one screen.

What you see for each job

Connected to the schedule

Permit status feeds schedule readiness. If a trade can't start because a permit isn't in place, BuildRoutine flags it as blocked or at risk next to buyout, submittals, insurance and contract status.

Part of one NYC back office

The same app runs your buyout log with bid requests and AI bid leveling, vendor contracts and COI compliance, submittals, RFIs in the Plan Room, and project budgets with a CSI anticipated cost report.

Questions

Where does the permit and violation data come from?

It's pulled from NYC Department of Buildings records for each building's BIN.

Do I need the BIN?

BIN is how BuildRoutine matches DOB records to your project. You can find it on DOB's building lookup for the address.

Does it replace filing with DOB?

No. Filings, renewals and violation resolution still go through DOB. BuildRoutine tracks status so nothing gets missed.

Can my PMs see only their jobs?

Yes. Access is role-based per tool and per project.
